Where This Filter Works
The Hydronix SGC melt blown sediment filter is designed for pre-filtration in reverse osmosis systems, whole house water filtration, well water treatment, and post-filtration after granular activated carbon (GAC) filters. The grooved exterior increases the effective filtration area compared to standard smooth cartridges, which extends service life and improves dirt-holding capacity in high-sediment applications. Use the 5 micron version for general sediment removal and the 1 micron version for finer particulate filtration or as final pre-filtration before RO membranes. Fits any standard 20-inch filter housing with 2.5-inch diameter compatibility.
