INSTALLATION & USE

How to Install the JACO 10-4-4-C-O Connector

  1. Cut the plastic tubing squarely and remove any burrs or rough edges for a clean seal.
  2. Slide the ferrule nut over the tubing, then insert the tubing fully into the connector body until it bottoms out.
  3. Hand-tighten the ferrule nut onto the connector body, then use a wrench to tighten an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn to compress the integral sleeve.
  4. Thread the male pipe thread end into the receiving female port, using thread sealant tape if required by your application.
  5. Pressurize the system slowly and inspect all connections for leaks before full operation.
COMPATIBILITY

Applications & System Fit

The JACO 10-4-4-C-O celcon male connector is compatible with standard 1/4" OD plastic tubing used in reverse osmosis systems, water filters, ice makers, beverage equipment, and low-pressure fluid handling applications. Celcon acetal is well-suited for potable water systems and continuous hot water use, with approvals for coffee, milk, and antibiotic handling. Avoid use with chlorine concentrations above 1 ppm or strong acids such as sulfuric, nitric, or hydrochloric acid. The non-conductive celcon material eliminates galvanic corrosion and absorbs vibration better than metal fittings, making it ideal for systems where electrolytic action or noise is a concern.

🔧 Pro Tip: When connecting to plastic tubing, avoid over-tightening the ferrule nut. Celcon's slight flexibility means 1/4 to 1/2 turn past hand-tight is sufficient to compress the integral sleeve without deforming the tubing or cracking the fitting.
