Technical Details
| Model Number | JACO 10-4-4-C-O |
| Connection Type | 1/4" OD Tube x 1/4" MPT |
| Material | Celcon Acetal (FDA & NSF Listed) |
| Ferrule Nut Thread | 7/16-20 with integral sleeve for plastic tubing |
| Max Pressure | 220 psi |
| Temperature Range | -40°F to 200°F |
| Color | Translucent White |
| Chemical Resistance | Resistant to most inorganics; not for chlorine >1 ppm |
How to Install the JACO 10-4-4-C-O Connector
- Cut the plastic tubing squarely and remove any burrs or rough edges for a clean seal.
- Slide the ferrule nut over the tubing, then insert the tubing fully into the connector body until it bottoms out.
- Hand-tighten the ferrule nut onto the connector body, then use a wrench to tighten an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn to compress the integral sleeve.
- Thread the male pipe thread end into the receiving female port, using thread sealant tape if required by your application.
- Pressurize the system slowly and inspect all connections for leaks before full operation.
Applications & System Fit
The JACO 10-4-4-C-O celcon male connector is compatible with standard 1/4" OD plastic tubing used in reverse osmosis systems, water filters, ice makers, beverage equipment, and low-pressure fluid handling applications. Celcon acetal is well-suited for potable water systems and continuous hot water use, with approvals for coffee, milk, and antibiotic handling. Avoid use with chlorine concentrations above 1 ppm or strong acids such as sulfuric, nitric, or hydrochloric acid. The non-conductive celcon material eliminates galvanic corrosion and absorbs vibration better than metal fittings, making it ideal for systems where electrolytic action or noise is a concern.
