Filter Replacement Steps
- Turn off water supply or simply twist the cartridge counterclockwise to disconnect (Twist Tap valve automatically stops flow).
- Remove the old Q5562 cartridge from the Q-Series head and dispose of it properly.
- Insert the new Q5562 cartridge into the Q-Series head and twist clockwise until secure.
- Turn water supply back on and flush the filter for 2-3 minutes to remove any air and resin fines.
- Check for leaks at the connection points and monitor TDS levels to confirm proper deionization.
System Requirements
This Q5562 cartridge is a replacement filter for existing Omnipure Q-Series filter heads only. The Q-Series heads are sold separately and available with 1/4" Quick-Connect fittings, 1/4" NPT female threads, or 3/8" NPT female threads. This filter is commonly used in reverse osmosis systems (as a post-DI polishing stage), ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, under-sink systems, and whole-house applications where ultra-low TDS water is required.
