The Omnipure Q5705 is a 14" x 2.5" sediment filter with 5 micron meltblown polypropylene construction and the proprietary Q-Series Twist Tap valve system that automatically shuts off water when you twist the body off for replacement. This filter removes dirt, sand, and sediment particles down to 5 microns in RO systems, under-sink units, ice makers, beverage equipment, and whole-house pre-filtration applications.

INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your Q-Series Filter

  1. Turn off the water supply to your system or use the Twist Tap valve to shut off flow
  2. Twist the Q5705 filter body counterclockwise to disconnect from the existing Q-Series head (the Twist Tap valve automatically stops water flow)
  3. Align the new Q5705 filter with the Q-Series head and twist clockwise until firmly seated
  4. Restore water supply and check for leaks at the connection point
  5. Flush the new filter for 3-5 minutes before use to clear any carbon fines or manufacturing residue
COMPATIBILITY

Q-Series Head Requirement

The Q5705 is a replacement cartridge and requires an existing Omnipure Q-Series filter head for installation. Q-Series heads are available with 1/4" Quick-Connect fittings, 1/4" NPT female threads, or 3/8" NPT female threads. This filter is compatible with reverse osmosis systems, whole-house sediment pre-filtration, under-sink drinking water systems, ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, and drinking fountains where 5 micron sediment removal is required.
