Pack of 3 Filter (WPC20-975) 9.75"X2.75" 20 Micron Pleated Sediment Filters
WPC20-975 Filter Technical Details
| Dimensions | 9.75" x 2.75" OD |
| Micron Rating | 20 micron |
| Filter Media | Cellulose-free synthetic pleated polypropylene |
| Temperature Range | 40°F to 140°F (4.4°C to 60°C) |
| Maximum Pressure | 40 psid |
| Recommended Change | 25 psid differential |
| End Caps | Molded polyurethane |
| Center Tube | Polypropylene (1-1/6" ID) |
Filter Installation Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure before removing old filter cartridge from housing
- Remove WPC20-975 filter from individual wrapper and inspect gaskets for proper seating on both end caps
- Insert filter into housing, ensuring center tube aligns properly with housing standpipe
- Hand-tighten housing sump and slowly restore water pressure, checking for leaks at all connection points
- Flush system for 3-5 minutes to remove any manufacturing residue before returning to normal service
Applications & System Fit
The WPC20-975 fits standard 10" filter housings with 2.75" OD cartridge compatibility. Ideal for whole-house sediment filtration and as pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems. The 20 micron rating effectively removes sand, silt, rust, and particulate while maintaining high flow rates. Compatible with municipal and well water applications where sediment reduction is required before carbon filtration or membrane filtration stages.
