Installing Your CBC-10 Carbon Block

- Remove the CBC-10 from packaging and inspect the carbon block for any shipping damage. Check that o-rings on the housing are in good condition.
- Insert the CBC-10 into the filter housing, ensuring it seats properly at the base. Hand-tighten the housing onto the cap.
- Turn water supply back on slowly and check for leaks. Flush the filter for 5 minutes to purge carbon fines before use.
- Replace the CBC-10 every 6-12 months or when you notice reduced flow rate or taste and odor breakthrough, whichever comes first.
Where the CBC-10 Fits
The Pentek CBC-10 fits any standard 10-inch filter housing designed for 2.5-inch diameter cartridges. It works as a standalone filter for whole-house sediment and chlorine reduction, as a pre-filter upstream of RO membranes and UV systems, or as a polishing filter in multi-stage residential and commercial water treatment applications. Compatible with Pentek, Culligan, Omnifilter, and other brands using the 10" x 2.5" standard size. Ideal for city water, well water, food service, and light commercial installations where both particulate and chemical reduction are required.
