How to Install the EPM-10 Cartridge
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure from the filter housing by opening a downstream faucet or using the pressure release button if equipped.
- Unscrew the housing sump using a filter wrench, remove the old cartridge, and clean the housing interior and o-ring with warm water.
- Insert the new Pentek EPM-10 cartridge into the housing, ensuring it seats properly on the center standpipe.
- Reinstall the housing sump with a lubricated o-ring, hand-tighten firmly, then turn on water and check for leaks.
- Flush the cartridge for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines before resuming normal use.

The Pentek EPM-10 fits all standard 10-inch filter housings designed for 2.5-inch diameter cartridges. It works in both whole-house and point-of-use applications including under-sink systems, RO pre-filtration stages, refrigerator lines, and commercial food service equipment. Compatible with Pentek, Ametek, Culligan, and other housings accepting 10" x 2.5" cartridges. Suitable for municipal and well water where sediment and chlorine reduction are priorities.
