How to Install the MH-35BLK-EZ Housing

  1. Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure before removing existing housing
  2. Insert your 1812 RO membrane into the housing, ensuring the brine seal is properly seated against the cap end
  3. Hand-tighten the ribbed cap clockwise until both O-rings are fully compressed and the housing is sealed
  4. Push 1/4" tubing firmly into EZ quick-connect ports until you feel resistance, then tug gently to confirm connection
  5. Slowly restore water pressure and inspect all connections for leaks before returning system to service
COMPATIBILITY

Works With These Systems

The PureT MH-35BLK-EZ accepts any standard 1812 reverse osmosis membrane (1.8" diameter x 12" length) from manufacturers like Filmtec, CSM, Hydranautics, and Vontron. The 1/4" EZ quick-connect ports are compatible with standard 1/4" OD polyethylene or nylon tubing used in most residential RO systems. This housing replaces traditional NPT-threaded housings in systems where quick-connect fittings simplify plumbing and reduce potential leak points.

🔧 Pro tip: Before threading the cap, mark the membrane orientation with a marker so you know which end is feed and which is permeate. The dual O-ring design means you need less torque than older single-seal housings, so don't overtighten or you'll make future cap removal difficult.
