The Rusco 1-1/2" spin-down filter is built for well water systems, whole house filtration, and irrigation applications where high flow and sediment removal are priorities. The cleanable screen design means no cartridge replacements—just open the sump, rinse the screen, and you're back online. Choose coarser mesh (24-40) for general debris and pipe scale, mid-range mesh (60-100) for sprinkler and drip irrigation systems, and finer mesh (140-1000) for RO pre-filtration or ultra-sensitive equipment like fogger nozzles. If using a clear polyester housing in outdoor or well house installations, note that algae can grow in the presence of light; a sun shield is recommended for those environments.
