Rusco 2" Polyester or Stainless Steel Spin-Down Filter
2" Polyester or Stainless Steel Spin-Down Filter
Mechanical sediment removal for well, whole-house, and irrigation applications with reusable polyester or stainless steel screens
The Rusco 2" spin-down filter uses a reusable polyester or stainless steel screen to mechanically separate sediment from water without disposable cartridges. Sediment collects in the bottom sump and is flushed out through the drain valve, making it ideal for high-sediment wells, irrigation systems, and whole-house pre-treatment where ongoing cartridge costs are a concern.
Filter Body and Screen Options
Application Guide
Use coarser mesh (24–40) for general debris, shale, and pipe scale in well and whole-house applications. Use finer mesh (60–140) for sprinkler systems, drip irrigation, and sand-sensitive valves where fine grit damages components. Use the finest mesh (250–1000) as pre-treatment ahead of reverse osmosis membranes, UV systems, or any equipment requiring ultra-clean water. Stainless steel screens are recommended for applications with high flow rates, abrasive sediment, or where algae growth is a concern. Note that algae can grow in the clear sump if exposed to light; use a sun shield or opaque cover in outdoor or sunlit installations.
