How to Install the PEX Female Adapter
- Cut PEX tubing square using a proper tubing cutter to ensure a clean edge and proper seal
- Slide the stainless steel clamp or copper crimp ring onto the PEX tubing before inserting the barb
- Push the PEX tubing firmly onto the barb fitting until it reaches the shoulder of the adapter
- Position the clamp or crimp ring 1/8 to 1/4 inch from the end of the tubing and secure using the appropriate crimping or clamping tool
- Thread the FNPT end into your female-threaded component hand-tight, then complete with a wrench, being careful not to over-torque
