Installing Your Hytrex Sediment Filter
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure from filter housing by opening bypass or downstream faucet.
- Unscrew housing using filter wrench if necessary, remove old filter cartridge, and clean housing interior with mild soap solution.
- Insert new Hytrex filter cartridge into housing, ensuring proper seating at both ends, then hand-tighten housing securely.
- Slowly turn on water supply and check for leaks around housing O-ring and threads before returning system to full service.
- Run water for 2-3 minutes to flush any loose polypropylene fibers and purge air from system.
