SUEZ - Purtrex Series - 20" x 2.5" Spun Polypropylene Depth Sediment Filter (Veolia)

SUEZ Water Technologies

Purtrex 20" x 2.5" Spun Polypropylene Depth Sediment Filter

Thermally bonded depth filtration with progressive graded density for industrial, whole-house, and well water applications

✓ 100% Pure Polypropylene ✓ NSF 42 & 61 Certified ✓ Made in USA ✓ FDA Food Contact Compliant

The SUEZ Purtrex sediment cartridge is a patented thermally bonded depth filter engineered for long service life and high dirt-holding capacity. Its progressive graded density traps particles throughout the entire filter depth, preventing surface blinding and extending filter life. Available in micron ratings from 1 to 75 microns, suitable for plating, chemical filtration, potable water, and general industrial use.

KEY FEATURES

Why Purtrex Outperforms Standard Sediment Cartridges

🎯

Progressive Graded Density

Captures sediment throughout the entire depth of the filter media, not just the surface, which prevents premature clogging and maximizes dirt-holding capacity.

🔬

100% Pure Polypropylene

No wetting agents, solvents, antistatic agents, or binders. Inert construction ensures broad chemical compatibility and safe use in potable water and food contact applications.

⏱️

Extended Service Life

Patented thermal bonding prevents surface blinding and flow reduction, dramatically reducing change-out frequency and lowering total cost of ownership.

♻️

Safe Disposal

Incinerates into trace ash with no hazardous volatiles. Pure polypropylene construction means environmentally responsible end-of-life handling.

Multi-Certified

Meets NSF 42 and 61, FDA 21CFR 177.1520, EU Regulation 1935/2004/EC and 10/2011, USP Class VI-121°C, and ISO 9001 standards.

🏭

Industrial & Residential

Proven performance in chemical processing, electroplating, municipal water, well water, and whole-house filtration systems.

COMPATIBILITY & APPLICATIONS

Fits Standard 20" x 2.5" Housings

The Purtrex series is compatible with all standard 20-inch housings including GE Osmonics Desal1856 and other SUEZ/Veolia filter housings. Choose from micron ratings of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, or 75 micron depending on your sediment load. Ideal for whole-house filtration, well water pretreatment, RO pretreatment, boiler feedwater, chemical processing, and potable water applications. Formerly marketed under the GE Osmonics brand, now manufactured by SUEZ Water Technologies (Veolia).

Purtrex depth filters are manufactured in the USA under ISO 9001 quality standards and backed by decades of proven performance in demanding industrial and municipal water treatment applications.
