The Watts FPMB1-40 delivers genuine melt blown filtration in a full 40-inch cartridge, rated to capture sediment down to 1 micron. Built from food-grade polypropylene with zero leachables, this filter handles potable water, beverage processing, and pre-RO duty where fine particulate removal matters.
The FPMB1-40 uses true melt blown technology, where molten polypropylene fibers are extruded and laid in a gradient density matrix. Larger particles trap in the outer layers while finer sediment migrates inward, maximizing dirt holding capacity across the 40-inch depth. The 1 micron rating protects downstream RO membranes, UV systems, and process equipment from silt, rust, and fine suspended solids. Excellent chemical resistance allows use in plating solutions, electronics rinse water, and fine chemical applications. Food-grade materials ensure safe contact with potable water and beverage streams without taste, odor, or contamination.
