| Dimensions | 9.75" × 2.5" (with DOE end caps) |
| Filtration Rating | 10 micron nominal |
| Media Type | 100% polypropylene pleated synthetic |
| Temperature Range | 40°F to 175°F (4.4°C to 79.4°C) |
| Max Pressure Differential | 130 psid collapse / 35 psid recommended change-out |
| Compliance | FDA 21 CFR 174.5, 177.1520, 177.1630 |
| Housing Compatibility | Watts Flowmax filter housings (DOE style) |
How to Install the Flowmax HP Filter
- Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a downstream faucet or depressurization valve on the housing.
- Unscrew the Flowmax filter housing sump and remove the old cartridge. Inspect the o-ring and housing for debris or damage.
- Insert the Watts FPP-975-DOE filter into the housing with the DOE end caps seated properly. Ensure correct orientation per housing manual.
- Reinstall the housing sump, hand-tighten firmly, then restore water pressure slowly and check for leaks at all connections.
- Flush the new filter for 3–5 minutes before resuming normal use. Replace when pressure differential reaches 35 psid or flow diminishes noticeably.
Where This Filter Fits
The Watts FPP-975-DOE is designed for Watts Flowmax filter housings that accept 9.75" cartridges with double-open-end (DOE) caps. It works as sediment pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems, whole-house applications, or any high-purity filtration scenario where you need better dirt capacity than spun or melt-blown cartridges. The 10-micron rating targets fine sediment, silt, rust, and particulate while maintaining high flow rates and low pressure drop across the pleated media.
