The Watts SF-978 fits any standard 10-inch by 2.5-inch filter housing used in whole house water filtration systems, under-counter filter assemblies, and RO pre-filtration stages. Common applications include sediment pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems, well water sediment removal, municipal water filtration, and protection for water heaters, appliances, and fixtures. Replacement schedule by water quality
Municipal Water
Replace every 3 to 6 months in city water applications with low sediment load. Monitor pressure drop across the filter as an indicator of loading.
