Watts-SF-30 Watts String Wound Cartridge Standard 30 in
Watts SF-30 String Wound Sediment Cartridge
Extended contact and graduated density filtration
String Wound Construction
Polypropylene string wound in a precise pattern creates graduated density filtration. Larger particles trapped at the surface, finer sediment captured deeper in the media.
30 Inch Length
Extended cartridge length provides significantly more surface area than standard 10 or 20 inch filters, extending service life in high-flow or heavy sediment applications.
No Media Migration
Solid polypropylene construction prevents fiber shedding or media release. No leachables that could contaminate downstream filtration or affect water taste.
Chemical Resistance
100% polypropylene withstands aggressive water chemistry. Rated to 140°F and compatible with chlorinated municipal water, well water, and most commercial applications.
Watts SF-30 Technical Data
| Dimensions | 2.5 inch diameter × 30 inch length |

Housing requirements
The Watts SF-30 fits Watts FlowMax 30 inch filter housings and other proprietary 30 inch housings designed for 2.5 inch diameter cartridges. Verify housing compatibility before ordering. Available in 1, 5, and 20 micron ratings to match your sediment load and filtration requirements. Commonly used in whole house pre-filtration, RO system protection, and commercial water treatment.
Replacement schedule
Whole House Systems
Replace every 3 to 6 months depending on sediment load and household water usage. Monitor pressure differential across the filter.
RO Pre-Filtration
In low-sediment applications protecting reverse osmosis systems, cartridge life may extend to 12 months. Replace when flow noticeably decreases.
High Sediment Loads
Well water or turbid sources may require monthly replacement. Extended 30 inch length provides more capacity than shorter cartridges in demanding conditions.
Industrial Length
30 inch cartridge for extended service life in high-demand applications
Pure Polypropylene
No binders, adhesives, or contaminants to leach into treated water
Multi-Micron Options
Available in 1, 5, and 20 micron ratings for precise sediment control
