Watts-SV-3 Saddle Valve, Fits Feed Pipes 3/8 IN to 1 1/4 IN
Watts SV-3 Self-Piercing Saddle Valve
The Watts SV-3 saddle valve installs directly onto existing cold water lines without soldering or cutting pipe. Designed for low-volume applications like under-counter reverse osmosis systems and drinking water filters, it fits 3/8 IN to 1 1/4 IN copper or plastic pipes and connects to standard 1/4 IN feed tubing via compression fitting.
Tool-Free Installation Process
Clamp to Cold Water Line
Position the saddle valve over your existing 3/8 to 1 1/4 IN cold water pipe and tighten the mounting bolts to secure the clamp. No cutting or soldering required.
Self-Piercing Needle Penetrates Pipe
Turn the valve handle clockwise to drive the self-piercing needle through the pipe wall, creating a clean water feed point without removing the pipe from service.
Attach 1/4 IN Feed Tubing
Insert your 1/4 IN feed tubing into the compression fitting and tighten the nut. The valve remains closed until opened, allowing you to complete connections before turning on water flow.
Works With Most RO and Filter Systems
The Watts SV-3 saddle valve is compatible with any reverse osmosis system, under-sink filter, or drinking water appliance that uses 1/4 IN feed tubing. It installs on copper, CPVC, and PEX cold water supply lines from 3/8 IN up to 1 1/4 IN diameter. Not recommended for high-volume applications like ice makers or appliances requiring continuous flow. Use only on cold water lines with pressure below 125 PSI.
