How to Install the AF-10-2025
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure by opening a downstream faucet or using the housing pressure relief button if equipped.
- Unscrew the filter housing sump using a filter wrench, remove the old cartridge, and clean the housing interior and o-ring with water.
- Insert the Aries AF-10-2025 cartridge into the housing, ensuring it seats properly on the center standpipe.
- Reinstall the sump, hand-tighten firmly, then restore water pressure and check for leaks.
- Flush the filter for 3-5 minutes to rinse KDF media fines and condition the cartridge before use.
Housing & System Fit
The AF-10-2025 fits any standard 10-inch filter housing designed for 2.5" diameter cartridges, including Aries, Pentek, Hydronix, and most whole-house or point-of-use systems with 10" x 2.5" cartridge wells. This all-KDF cartridge is especially effective as a pre-filter ahead of carbon blocks, RO membranes, or UV systems, where chlorine and heavy metal removal is critical. Not recommended as a sole polishing filter due to absence of activated carbon for organic compound adsorption.
