What This Filter Reduces
Activated alumina media is highly effective at reducing fluoride, inorganic arsenic, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen chloride, carbonyl sulfide, carbon dioxide, alcohols, and ethers from drinking water. This filter is designed for standard 10-inch housings and works as a point-of-use stage in reverse osmosis systems or as a dedicated fluoride reduction cartridge in whole-house applications. EPA guidance suggests fluoride levels above 2 mg/L can cause dental fluorosis, and levels above 4 mg/L may present serious health risks. This cartridge is compatible with Watts, Intelifil, and other standard 10" x 2.5" housings.
