Cartridge Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure by opening a downstream faucet or using the housing pressure release button
- Unscrew the housing sump, remove the old 801-1-20 cartridge, and clean the housing interior with water
- Insert the new Harmsco 801 Series cartridge, lubricate the o-ring with silicone grease, and hand-tighten the sump until seated
- Turn water supply back on slowly, check for leaks, and run water for 2-3 minutes to flush the new filter media

The Harmsco 801-1-20 fits all standard 20-inch filter housings with 2.5-inch inner diameter designed for full-size cartridges. Compatible with Watts, Pentek, Culligan, and other major housing brands rated for whole-house flow rates. The pleated design works in both vertical and horizontal mounting configurations. This 1 micron rating is ideal for well water sediment, rust, and fine particulate removal as a pre-filter or standalone sediment stage.
