IPW Industries Inc (1025CC) 9.75"x3" Calcite Low pH Neutralizer Filter
IPW Industries 1025CC Calcite Neutralizer Filter
| Model Number | IPW Industries Inc 1025CC |
| Dimensions | 9.75" x 3" (10"x2.5" nominal) |
| Filter Media | Calcium Carbonate (Calcite), NSF Standard 60 certified |
| Filtration Rating | 10 Micron nominal |
| Flow Rate | 1 GPM maximum |
| Filter Life | 5,000 gallons (or until media depletion) |
| Operating Temperature | 40°F to 100°F |
| Weight | 3 lbs |
Installing Your Calcite Neutralizer
- Install the 1025CC cartridge in a standard 10" filter housing rated for at least 1 GPM flow. Position after your RO system or at point-of-use for acidic well water.
- Flush the cartridge for 3-5 minutes after installation to remove any fine particulates and prime the media bed for optimal pH correction.
- Monitor water pH regularly. Replace the cartridge when pH correction becomes less effective or after 5,000 gallons, whichever comes first.
- If you notice increased hardness causing scale buildup, consider adding a water softener downstream to manage the calcium added during neutralization.
Application & System Compatibility
The IPW Industries 1025CC fits all standard 10" x 2.5" filter housings and is ideal for post-RO remineralization or whole-house pH correction in low-volume applications. This cartridge works best with acidic water in the pH 5.0 to 6.5 range and is compatible with both reverse osmosis systems and direct well water installations. Because calcite is self-limiting, it will not over-correct pH beyond safe levels. The media dissolves during use, so regular replacement is essential. Note that this filter will increase water hardness as calcium carbonate is consumed, which may require downstream softening if hard water is a concern in your area.
