| Chlorine/Taste/Odor Capacity | 10,000 gallons at 1 gpm |
| VOC Reduction Capacity | 500 gallons at 0.5 gpm |
| Media Type | NSF 61 certified coconut shell greencarbon with PAC |
| Contaminant Reduction | Chlorine, taste, odor, VOCs, sediment, dirt, rust |
| Certifications | NSF 42, NSF 53 protocol (VOC), NSF 61, WQA tested |
Filter Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure from the filter housing by opening a downstream faucet or using the pressure relief button if equipped.
- Unscrew the filter housing sump using a filter wrench, remove the old cartridge, and clean the housing interior with mild soap and water.
- Insert the new FX10VOC carbon block filter into the housing, ensuring proper seating, then hand-tighten the sump back onto the housing cap.
- Turn water supply back on slowly, checking for leaks around the housing o-ring, and flush the filter for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines before use.
Standard 10" x 2.5" Housing Systems
The FX10VOC filter fits all standard 10 inch housings designed for 2.5 inch diameter cartridges, making it compatible with most residential reverse osmosis systems, countertop filter units, and whole-house sediment filter housings. This filter is ideal for applications requiring both particulate reduction and chemical contaminant removal, including municipal water supplies with chlorine and VOC concerns. The low pressure drop design makes it particularly well-suited for systems with lower incoming water pressure or multi-stage filtration configurations.
