Omnipure - Q5520 - 10" x 2.5" Q-Series Twist Off Carbon Block Filter - 1 Micron
10" x 2.5" Q5520 Twist Off Filter – 1 Micron
Professional-grade inline carbon block with integrated twist-off valve system for refrigerators, RO systems, and beverage equipment
Comprehensive filtration with integrated shutoff valve
Twist Tap Valve System
Built-in head valve automatically shuts off water supply when filter body is disconnected. No spillage, no mess during cartridge changes.
1 Micron Carbon Block
Dense extruded carbon removes cysts, sediment, chlorine taste and odor, plus particulates down to 1 micron. Consistent 0.5 GPM flow rate.
Wide Application Range
Works in ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, under-sink systems, and as RO pre-filtration. Handles up to 125 PSI.
Quick Replacement Design
Twist-off body design means fast filter changes without tools. Compatible with existing Q-Series heads in 1/4" QC, 1/4" NPT, or 3/8" NPT configurations.
Omnipure Q5520 Technical Details
| Model Number | Q5520 |
| Dimensions | 10" L x 2.5" W |
| Micron Rating | 1 Micron |
| Flow Rate | 0.5 GPM |
| Maximum Pressure | 125 PSIG |
| Temperature Range | 35°F – 100°F |
| Filtration Media | Extruded Carbon Block |
| Service Life | 2500 Gallons or 1 Year |
Requires Existing Q-Series Head
The Omnipure Q5520 is a replacement cartridge and must be used with an existing Omnipure Q-Series filter head. Q-Series heads are available with 1/4" Quick-Connect fittings, 1/4" NPT female threads, or 3/8" NPT female threads. This filter is compatible with all standard Q-Series 10" housings regardless of connection type.
Replacement Schedule for Q5520
Standard Replacement
Replace cartridge when capacity is reached or when you notice reduced flow rate or taste change. Typical household use reaches this around 6-12 months.
Time-Based Replacement
Even if gallons haven't been reached, replace Q5520 cartridge annually to prevent bacterial growth and maintain filtration effectiveness.
Heavy Sediment Conditions
If source water has high sediment load, the 1 micron carbon block may clog faster. Monitor flow rate and replace earlier if pressure drop occurs.
Cyst Reduction
1 micron rating removes Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts
Chlorine Removal
Carbon block effectively removes chlorine taste and odor
Tool-Free Changes
Twist Tap system allows cartridge replacement without wrenches
NSF Standard
Omnipure Q-Series filters meet industry performance standards
