Where this filter fits
The Q5640 is a replacement cartridge for systems with existing Omnipure Q-Series heads. This filter works in ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, under-sink systems, and as pre or post filtration in reverse osmosis systems. Q-Series heads are available with 1/4" quick-connect fittings, 1/4" NPT female threads, or 3/8" NPT female threads. The Twist Off design requires a compatible Q-Series head with shutoff valve support.
Replacement schedule
Standard Replacement
Replace the Q5640 cartridge annually under normal residential use to maintain chlorine reduction and taste performance
Heavy Use or Commercial
For high-volume applications or commercial beverage equipment, replace the cartridge every six months or when flow rate noticeably decreases
Taste or Odor Return
If chlorine taste or odor returns before the scheduled replacement, change the filter immediately regardless of time in service
Multi-Application
Works in refrigerators, ice makers, fountains, and RO systems
