INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your Q5533 Filter Cartridge

  1. Twist the existing Q5533 filter body counterclockwise to disconnect it from the Q-Series head. The Twist Tap valve automatically shuts off water flow during removal.
  2. Remove the old cartridge and inspect the head o-ring for wear or damage. Replace if necessary to prevent leaks.
  3. Align the new Q5533 filter body with the Q-Series head and twist clockwise until hand-tight and fully seated.
  4. Turn on water supply slowly and check for leaks at the connection point. Flush the filter for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines before use.
COMPATIBILITY

Q-Series System Requirements

The Omnipure Q5533 is a replacement cartridge that requires an existing Q-Series Twist Off head to function. Q-Series heads are available with 1/4" quick-connect fittings, 1/4" NPT female threads, or 3/8" NPT female threads. This filter is compatible with under-sink systems, reverse osmosis setups, ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, and drinking fountains. The proprietary Twist Off design is not compatible with standard 10" housings or other filter mounting systems.

🔧 Pro Tip: The Twist Tap valve makes filter changes mess-free, but always keep a towel handy for the first few swaps. A small amount of trapped water in the head cavity is normal and will drain when you remove the old cartridge.
