Q5586 10" x 2.5" GAC + Phosphate Scale Inhibitor
The Omnipure Q5586 combines granular activated carbon from coconut shells with food-grade polyphosphate to address both taste issues and hard water scaling in a single 10" x 2.5" cartridge. The built-in Twist Tap valve automatically shuts off water flow when you disconnect the filter body from the head, making replacements cleaner and easier in tight installations.

Coconut Shell Carbon
Granular activated carbon removes chlorine taste and odor while improving overall water quality for drinking, ice, and beverage equipment. The coconut shell source provides a high surface area for effective adsorption at up to 0.5 GPM.
Scale Inhibition
Food-grade polyphosphate sequesters calcium and magnesium ions to prevent hard water scale buildup in appliances, ice makers, and reverse osmosis systems. Extends equipment life and maintains flow rates in downstream components.
Auto Shut-Off Valve
The optional Twist Tap in-head valve system automatically closes water flow when you twist off the filter body, preventing spills during service. Reconnect the new cartridge and water flow resumes instantly.
