Pentek - CFB-PLUS10 - 10" x 2.5" Fibredyne Modified Carbon Block Filter - 5 Micron
CFB-PLUS10 Modified Carbon Block Filter
Fibredyne Carbon Block Technology
Dual-Action Filtration
Powdered activated carbon bonded to synthetic fiber matrix delivers both sediment removal and chlorine reduction in one cartridge. Eliminates the need for separate pre-filters in many applications.
2x Capacity
Fibredyne technology provides twice the chlorine taste and odor reduction compared to traditional carbon blocks, along with superior dirt-holding capacity based on manufacturer testing.
No Carbon Fines
Post-filtration layer fused to the media prevents carbon fines from releasing into filtered water. Clean effluent from first use through end of service life.
NSF Certified
Manufactured entirely from FDA-compliant materials. Tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for materials requirements.
CFB-PLUS10 Technical Details

| Capacity | 10,000 gallons or 6 months |
| Connection | Drop-in cartridge for standard 10" housings |
| Removes | Chlorine taste/odor, sediment, dirt, rust, particulates |
Fits Standard 10" x 2.5" Housings
The Pentek CFB-PLUS10 fits all standard 10-inch filter housings designed for 2.5" diameter cartridges. Compatible with Pentek, Culligan, Omnifilter, and other manufacturers' housings rated for 10" x 2.5" cartridges. Ideal for point-of-use, whole-house pre-filtration, reverse osmosis pre-treatment, food service equipment, and commercial applications requiring combined sediment and chlorine reduction.
Replacement Schedule
Typical Residential Use
Replace the CFB-PLUS10 cartridge every six months under normal municipal water conditions with moderate sediment load and chlorine levels.
High-Volume Applications
Monitor water meter or system flow counter. Replace cartridge when 10,000 gallons have been filtered, even if time-based interval has not been reached.
Flow or Pressure Drop
Replace immediately if flow rate decreases significantly or pressure drop exceeds system limits. Heavy sediment loads will require more frequent changes.
Whole-House Ready
Suitable for point-of-entry and point-of-use installations in residential and light commercial settings
Food Service Safe
FDA-compliant materials make it appropriate for restaurants, cafes, and food processing applications
RO Pre-Filter
Protects reverse osmosis membranes from chlorine damage and sediment fouling in a single cartridge
Drop-In Simple
No tools or special installation steps required, just drop into any standard 10-inch housing
