Puregen (APTERA-2510) 10"x2.75" "Aptera" AlkaMag Alkaline Filter
Puregen APTERA-2510 Technical Details
| Model Number | APTERA-2510 |
| Dimensions | 10" x 2.75" |
| Filter Type | 11-Stage Alkaline Specialty Filter |
| Housing Compatibility | Standard 10" housings |
| Primary Function | pH elevation, mineralization, far infrared emission |
| Key Media | CalCor, Tourmaline, Pi Ceramic, KDF, Almandine Garnet, Neodymium Magnet |
| Application | Whole house, reverse osmosis post-filter |
| Recommended Flow | 0.5-0.75 GPM for optimal contact time |
How to Install the APTERA-2510
- Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure before removing existing filter cartridge from standard 10" housing
- Insert APTERA-2510 cartridge into housing, ensuring the flow direction arrow (if present) aligns with water flow path
- Hand-tighten housing, turn on water supply slowly, and flush filter for 5-10 minutes to activate media and clear fines
- Check for leaks at housing connection points and adjust O-ring or tighten housing sump if needed
- Replace filter every 6-12 months depending on water quality and daily usage volume
Where the APTERA-2510 Works Best
The Puregen APTERA-2510 fits any standard 10-inch filter housing with 2.75" inner diameter. It performs best as a post-filter in reverse osmosis systems to remineralize and alkalize purified water, or as a final stage in whole-house filtration setups where pH correction and mineral enhancement are desired. The KDF media makes it effective for reducing heavy metals, scale, and controlling bacterial growth. For optimal performance, install after sediment and carbon pre-filtration to prevent premature media fouling. The Tourmaline and Pi ceramics work continuously without regeneration, while the CalCor media gradually dissolves calcium carbonate and magnesium dioxide into the water stream.
