Where the GAC10N-KDF Works

This filter fits all standard 10-inch housings with 2.5-inch diameter capacity, including Watts, Pentek, Hydronix, and generic brands. It works as a standalone taste and odor filter in whole-house systems, as a pre-filter stage in reverse osmosis systems, or in any application requiring chlorine and heavy metal reduction. The KDF media addition makes it particularly effective in warm water conditions where bacteria growth is a concern, and provides an extra layer of heavy metal reduction beyond what standard GAC offers alone.

🔧 Pro tip: Always flush new GAC filters for at least 3-5 minutes to clear carbon fines, and expect slightly gray water initially. The KDF media may cause a metallic taste for the first few uses, which is normal and will subside after proper flushing.
