Key Performance Data
Filter Media & Reduction Claims
| Model Number | Omnipure E5586 |
| Filtration Media | Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) with Polyphosphate Scale Inhibitor |
| Polyphosphate Dose | 3 oz. food-grade polyphosphate for scale sequestration |

Installation & Use Cases
The E5586 is designed for inline installation using Omnipure E-Series permanent filter heads. The universal cap design ensures compatibility with all existing Omnipure housings, making changeouts fast and mess-free. This dual-media cartridge is ideal for beverage equipment, coffee machines, ice makers, and point-of-use applications where both chlorine removal and scale prevention are required. The polyphosphate sequestrant keeps calcium and magnesium in suspension, protecting downstream equipment from hard water deposits without removing beneficial minerals. Install vertically or horizontally with inlet at the bottom or side depending on your head configuration. Replace every 6 months or 1,500 gallons, whichever comes first, to maintain optimal filtration and scale inhibition performance.
