The E5686 is designed for inline installation in residential water filtration systems, ice makers, beverage equipment, and water-fed appliances where both chlorine removal and scale prevention are needed. The universal cap design fits all standard Omnipure E-Series permanent heads, making replacement quick without tools or special adapters. Ideal for areas with moderate to hard water where calcium and magnesium deposits cause lime scale buildup in coffee machines, steam ovens, humidifiers, and water lines. This filter is not for use with microbiologically unsafe water or water of unknown quality.

💧 Replace the E5686 every 6 months or 2000 gallons, whichever comes first. If you notice reduced flow rate or white scale deposits returning on appliances, replace the cartridge early—the polyphosphate may be depleted even if carbon capacity remains.
