Omnipure - ELF 1M-P - 12.5" x 4" ELF-Series 1 Micron Carbon Block & Phosphate Filter; Scale Inhibitor
ELF 1M-P Technical Details
| Manufacturer | Omnipure Filter Company |
| Model Number | ELF 1M-P |
| Dimensions | 12.5" length x 4" diameter |
| Filtration Type | Carbon block with phosphate scale inhibitor |
| Micron Rating | 1 micron nominal |
| Series | ELF-Series (E-Series inline format) |
| Primary Applications | Chlorine, taste, odor, cyst reduction; scale prevention |
| Connection Type | Inline quick-connect (proprietary ELF housing) |
Cartridge Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a downstream faucet or using the pressure release button if equipped.
- Remove the ELF housing according to manufacturer instructions, then extract the old filter cartridge and dispose of it properly.
- Insert the new Omnipure ELF 1M-P cartridge into the housing, ensuring proper orientation and seating, then reassemble the housing.
- Turn water supply back on slowly and check for leaks at all connection points before putting the system into regular service.
- Flush the new carbon block filter for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines and activate the phosphate media before use.
System Fit & Applications
The Omnipure ELF 1M-P is designed specifically for ELF-Series inline filter housings that accept 12.5" x 4" diameter cartridges with proprietary end caps. This dual-function filter works well in reverse osmosis pre-filtration stages, ice maker lines, beverage equipment, and other applications where both sediment/chemical reduction and scale prevention are needed. The phosphate treatment is particularly valuable in hard water areas or where protecting downstream equipment from mineral buildup is a priority. Verify housing compatibility before ordering, as the ELF series uses a unique format that is not interchangeable with standard 10" or other inline cartridge styles.
