INSTALLATION & USE

Installing the ELF-Series Filter

  1. Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure before removing the old filter cartridge.
  2. Align the bayonet-style filter body with the permanent head and twist clockwise until it locks securely into place.
  3. Turn water supply back on and check all connections for leaks, then flush the system for 3-5 minutes to remove carbon fines.
  4. Monitor filter performance and replace every 10,000 gallons or annually, whichever comes first.
COMPATIBILITY

Application Fit

The Omnipure ELF-5M-KDF-P is designed for commercial food service installations requiring high flow rates and robust scale inhibition. The 4-inch diameter Extra-Large Format fits Omnipure ELF-Series housings with bayonet-style mounting systems. The combination of carbon block, KDF-55, and phosphate makes it well-suited for ice machines, beverage equipment, and commercial espresso systems where both water quality and equipment protection are priorities.

🔧 The phosphate component works best when water temperature stays below 90°F—installing this filter on cold water lines only will extend both its scale-inhibiting performance and the overall service life of downstream equipment.
