The Omnipure L5533 combines acid-washed granular activated carbon filtration with a twist-off valve system that automatically shuts off water flow when you disconnect the filter body. This 10" x 2.5" inline cartridge works with existing L-Series heads to reduce chlorine taste, odor, and particulates in residential and commercial water applications.

INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your L5533 Cartridge

  1. Turn off water supply to your system or allow the Twist Tap valve to automatically shut off flow when you twist the filter body counterclockwise to disconnect it from the L-Series head.
  2. Remove the old L5533 cartridge and inspect the head o-ring for wear or damage, replacing if necessary.
  3. Insert the new L5533 filter into the L-Series head and twist clockwise until secure, then slowly turn water supply back on and check for leaks.
  4. Flush the new GAC cartridge by running water through it for 3-5 minutes to remove any carbon fines before returning the system to service.
