The Omnipure Q5328 is a 6-inch granular activated carbon filter built for the Q-Series Twist Off system with T28 head compatibility. Designed for ice makers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, under-sink systems, and reverse osmosis applications, it removes chlorine taste, odor, and other common contaminants using loose GAC media.

INSTALLATION & USE

Installing the Q5328 Twist Off Filter

  1. Ensure you have a compatible Q-Series T28 head installed with 1/4" Quick-Connect, 1/4" NPT female, or 3/8" NPT female fittings
  2. Align the Q5328 filter body with the head and twist clockwise until it locks into place
  3. Turn on water supply and check for leaks at the connection point
  4. Flush the filter for 3-5 minutes before use to remove carbon fines
  5. Replace filter annually or after 1,250 gallons, whichever comes first
COMPATIBILITY

Q-Series Twist Tap System

This is a replacement cartridge for existing Omnipure Q-Series installations and requires a T28 Twist Off head (not included). The Twist Tap valve system automatically shuts off water flow when you disconnect the filter body from the head, preventing spills during cartridge changes. Q-Series heads are available with 1/4" Quick-Connect fittings, 1/4" NPT female threads, or 3/8" NPT female threads depending on your plumbing setup. The Q5328 is compatible with ice makers, refrigerators, beverage dispensers, drinking fountains, under-sink systems, and as a post-filter or polish stage in reverse osmosis systems.

🔧 Pro Tip: The Twist Tap system makes filter changes cleaner, but always relieve pressure by running water at the downstream faucet before twisting off the old cartridge. This prevents residual pressure from forcing water out during disconnection.
