Fail-Safe Lid Closure
Brass wing nut closure system rated to 150 PSI with EPDM rim gaskets. Buna-N and Viton gaskets available for chemical compatibility.
High Temperature Capability
Standard CPVC standpipe handles fluids to 140°F. Optional stainless steel standpipe with high-temp cartridges extends range to 250°F for process water applications.
Gauge and Sample Ports
Built-in 1/4" gauge and sample ports on inlet and outlet for differential pressure monitoring and water quality sampling.

Cartridge Options
The HUR-40-HP accepts all Harmsco Hurricane-series cartridges in micron ratings from 1 to 100 microns. Choose sediment cartridges (polypropylene pleated, melt-blown, or spun wound), carbon block cartridges for taste and odor removal, or specialty media for iron, sulfur, and heavy metals. Housing accommodates cartridges up to 19.5" in length. Standpipe material: CPVC standard, optional 304 or 316 stainless steel for high-temperature or corrosive applications.
Service Intervals
Cartridge Replacement
Replace filter cartridge when differential pressure reaches 15-20 PSI or flow rate decreases noticeably. Heavy sediment loads may require more frequent changes.
Rim Gasket Inspection
Inspect EPDM rim gasket for compression set, cracks, or deformation. Replace gasket if leaks occur or seal integrity is compromised.
Housing Inspection
Drain and inspect housing interior for sediment buildup in cyclone chamber. Flush with clean water and inspect standpipe for damage or clogging.
Pressure Gauge Calibration
Verify gauge accuracy with known pressure source. Replace gauges if readings drift or needle sticks during operation.
