INSTALLATION & USE

Setup and Operation

  1. Mount housing on stable surface with 15" × 15" footprint and minimum 51" overhead clearance for cartridge removal
  2. Connect 2" NPT inlet and outlet lines, ensuring proper orientation for patented upflow design and install drain line to 1" NPT port
  3. Install Harmsco cartridge with appropriate micron rating and media type for your application, ensuring proper seal with rim gasket
  4. Pressurize system gradually to check for leaks, then purge air through drain valve before bringing to full operating pressure
  5. Monitor pressure differential across housing to determine cartridge replacement intervals based on your flow rate and water quality

The WB-90-SC-2 housing accepts all Harmsco 90 sq. ft. filter cartridges including sediment filters in multiple micron ratings, carbon block cartridges for chemical reduction, and Hurricane high-temperature cartridges for demanding applications. Optional upgrades include Buna-N or Viton rim gaskets for chemical compatibility and 316 stainless steel standpipes for high-temperature operation up to 250°F. The single-cartridge design simplifies maintenance compared to multi-housing arrays while delivering equivalent flow performance.
