Installing Your Hurricane Housing
- Mount housing on a stable surface with adequate clearance below for cartridge removal. Ensure flange bolt pattern aligns with your 3-inch 150 lb flanged piping.
- Install appropriate sediment or pleated cartridge inside housing, ensuring proper seating on the bottom support and against the top cap seal.
- Torque flange bolts in a star pattern to manufacturer specifications. Pressurize system slowly and inspect all connections for leaks before full operation.
- Monitor differential pressure across the housing; replace cartridge when pressure drop exceeds 15-20 PSI or flow rate diminishes noticeably.
